AUTO SHOW BUS TRIP

SNOW BIRD SOCIAL

Once again the club put together another opportunity for you to meet and socialize with other retirees and spouses from our GM family early in the New Year. The Royal Scot Golf Course, West of Lansing on Grand River near the airport, was again the location.

This year we had 54 people take the opportunity, in the middle of Winter, to socialize with friends. The festivities started at 12 noon with the luncheon being served at 1:00 PM. At 2:00 PM our guest speaker, Ingham County Sheriff Gene Wrigglesworth, made a unique presentation describing the process of solving the Ricky Holland Murder case.

Ivan Stebbins, Al Stock – Co-Chairman

Next year’s event has been scheduled for February 14, 2009, a combination Snow Bird/Valentine’s Luncheon.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!!!!!!

On Tuesday, January 22, 2008, the club took 113 people to Detroit’s Cobo Hall for the International Auto Show. We took two buses to see an array of future cars and trucks from all over the World.

We are always open to suggestions for other bus trip excursion opportunities. If someone has an idea for a trip, please call me.

TIGER BALLGAME TRIP

We have scheduled a bus trip, to the Tiger’s game June 12th vs. the Chicago White Sox. Plan to park your car East of Building 70 @ 920 Townsend Street (same as Auto Show). The time of departure is 10:00 am SHARP. Don’t be late and don’t get lost! We expect

to be back by 6:00 pm.
