2007 SUMMER SOCIALS
Once again our
summer socials were very successful. A total of 169 people (92 in
June and 77 in July) were in attendance. The course was in fine
shape, the weather could not have been nicer in June, was a little rainy
in July, but everyone seemed to have a good time at both events. As you
know, your participation is what makes for a successful event.
Thanks to all of you who came and enjoyed the two events.
A big note of
thanks to GMAC (Bill Carr, Jean Fortino, and Donna Brooks), Eldorado
Golf Course (Norm Hatt and Mike Bell) and to Centennial Acres (and Chuck
Lane) for the prizes. And more thanks to Fred Kane, Larry Koster,
Dick Schairer, John Bond, Don Sokoloski, and Joe and Linda Kobus for all
your help in making the summer socials go as smoothly as they did.
A very
special thanks goes out to John Powers, the past chair of these
events, for stepping in on such short notice and running the July social
in my absence and enlisting the help of his wife Ann.

The 20th Annual Business Meeting will be held at the MSU
Kellogg Center.
Note: Ramp parking is FREE
Social Hour will be on the East patio, with cash
bar from 12 to 1 PM.
NOTE: This year, luncheon will be in the RED CEDAR ROOM at 1 PM.
Steven Rogers, Manager
of the Lansing Regional Stamping Plant, will be our guest speaker.
He will describe the Lansing stamping operation and how it relates to
the Grand River and Delta assembly plants. He will also update us on
what is taking place at all of the local GM facilities.
A brief business meeting and the
election of officers will follow.
Reservations: Must be received by Friday,
September 7th. A vegetarian dish of the day can be requested for
those with a special dietary need.
