Dear Fellow General Motors Retirees and Visitors to our Web Site.

Allow us to introduce ourselves.  We are the General Motors Lansing Salaried Retirees Club (GMLSRC), headquartered  in Lansing, Michigan (the home of the former Oldsmobile Division).

Our club was formed by a small group of local GM retirees in 1988 primarily to provide an opportunity for area GM Salaried Retirees to meet and visit with each other socially on a regular basis. Our Club is a nonprofit Corporation with Officers and a Board of Directors.  In the early years our membership totaled over 2500 retirees, but as time passes our numbers have been reduced for many of the obvious reason and some not so obvious.  Our current membership is over 1000 retirees and they are from many units of the GM and affiliated organizations,  including Oldsmobile, Fisher Body, GMPD, and EDS.   At the present time our membership reach extends to 30 states where many of our members have relocated over the years since their retirement.

The Web Site that you are viewing was implemented by the Club in March of 2002 in an effort to improve communication with out membership.  We have since expanded the site to include information of interest to GM retirees living anywhere and retired from any division.  This site contains a wealth of information about our club activities, links of interest to all GM retirees, etc.  While some of the site’s content is restricted to Club members, much of the general reference information is available to all interested parties, We would like GM retirees everywhere  to browse through our Web Site and use it as a reference for the Corporation information posted.

We feel that by keeping in contact with other General Motors Retiree Clubs we will provide everyone with an opportunity to possibly renew with old co‑workers with whom they have lost contact over the years.  At the present time our membership extends to 30 states where many of our members have relocated over the years since their retirement. One of our innovative features is a listing of GM retiree clubs throughout the U.S. and Canada.  If you are thinking about relocating to or vacationing in another area, check out this section and see if there is a GM retire club in your new area.
