AUTO SHOW BUS TRIP

SNOW BIRD SOCIAL

Once again the club put together another opportunity for you to meet and socialize with other retirees and spouses from our GM family early in the New Year.  The Royal Scot Golf Course, West of Lansing on Grand River   near the airport, was again the location.

This year we had 54 people take the opportunity, in the middle of Winter, to socialize with friends. The festivities started at 12 noon with the luncheon being served at 1:00 PM.  At 2:00 PM, our guest speaker Dick Thelen, a Lansing native, spoke about how he survived the worst naval disaster in U.S. Naval history. It happened aboard the USS Indianapolis.

Al Stock – Chairman

Next year’s event has been scheduled for January 30, 2010.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!!!!!!!!

On Thursday, January 22, 2009, the club took 48 people to Detroit’s Cobo Hall for the International Auto Show to see an array of future cars and trucks from all over the World.

We are always open to suggestions for other bus trip excursion opportunities. If someone has an idea for a trip, please call me.

John Fox – Chairman

We are starting a new article page called:
