I would like to begin this message by thanking you for being a member of the GMLSRC. Your membership is valuable, as it allows the club to continue providing you with the social activities, newsletter, and roster of all club members. Due to many factors our total membership is declining so each member is more important than ever. If you know of any GM retiree who would like to join the club, please take the time and effort to provide them with membership information. It is available on our web site as well as from any board member.

I would also like to thank each board member for their significant efforts towards supporting the club. These include being an officer, membership secretary, newsletter publisher, web coordinator, social event coordinator, and many additional tasks required to maintain an active and well organized club.

Our events this last year included the auto show bus trip, snowbird social, 2 golf outings, Tiger game bus trip, and annual business meeting. All of these events were well organized and had good attendance. If you were not able to attend some of these events, please consider doing so this coming year. The events themselves are good entertainment and the chance to see many of the people we worked with for years again is invaluable.

If you have not signed up yet at the www.gmretiree.com web site, you should consider doing so. There is a lot of good information there including a marketplace with savings on many items including cell phone subscriptions. It also is the preferred way for GM to keep in touch with you.
