The Sinking of the USS Indianapolis

The quest speaker for our social is Mr. Richard "Dick" Thelen, a Lansing native.  Dick is a survivor of the worst naval disaster in U.S. Naval history with the sinking of the USS Indianapolis July 30, 1045.  Of the total 1196 on board, only 316 survived.
